QUIZ RECAP

We had many new, small teams tonight who put up great scores in the first half, but in the end it came down to our 3 regular teams fighting for the top spot. Tru Dat landed in their familiar 3rd place, with Quiztopher Walken in 2nd, and Team Plutonium taking home the top prize thanks to a riiiiiisky Double in Round 6 that paid off. If they hadn't Doubled, they would not have won the game!

While QW landed in 2nd overall, they DID win a pitcher of beer for their team by being the first to accurately solve a math problem using the proper Order of Operations... Otherwise known as Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally..... or is it My "Dumb" Aunt Sally? 😉

Also, big thanks to the awesome staff at Grunions for supplying their QuizMaster with a delicious cookie and even more delicious glass of wine! Love working with that lovely group of people!

QUIZ RECAP

We had quite the even start to the game, with no real front runners until we hit round 5, when 2 teams successfully Doubled their points... Then again when 4 teams Doubled their points, opening the point gap. But it all came down to the final round, where Go Cougs! barely inched out first place over Team Plutonium, with Daddy following closely behind in 3rd. And congrats to our winner of the Drinking Round Challenge who accurately guessed all the wild animal noises we played -- always a fun one!

W O W !

What a dramatic turn of events we had this evening! We had our normal cast of characters, including Daddy, but also taking the stage was a new troupe ready to take on Daddy.... and their name was Tu Madre. Yes, that's right - the girls from Daddy split off to make their own team and have their very own Battle of the Sexes. I am proud to report that Tu Madre held the lead throughout the entire game... and not just over Daddy, but over ALL other teams! They successfully Double 2x, and correctly Guessed Who on the first clue.

At the end of the game it actually came down to not one, but TWO tiebreakers to decide both the 1st place and 3rd place teams. Tru Dat was able to win the 3rd place tiebreaker thus extending their Top 3 position streak for another week.... Meanwhile Quiztopher Walken were sad to learn the whole reason they were in the tiebreaker scenario was because they FORGOT TO TURN IN THEIR PEN for the extra bonus point! Sad day.

And back to our 1st place tiebreaker, you guessed it, it came down to Daddy and Tu Madre! And while the girls crushed it the entire night, I am sad to report they lost their final match point to the boys, leaving them in second place behind the guys. Ah, they were so close! Please try again next week girls, I'll be rooting for ya!!
