About Grunions Sports Bar & Grill

Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. Whether you live in the area or just visiting, we have what you are looking for…guaranteed!

Congrats to Chafing the Dream who was at the back of the pack for nearly the entire game, yet pulled off an epic comeback win thanks to one key team member and a successful Double! They barely inched out Diggle Bicks, who landed just 1 point behind in second place! Kudos to Quiztopher Walken for another strong finish in 3rd place. And while Creed III tried their hardest to come out on top, their 2 UNsuccessful Double attempts is what truly costed them - but fortunately they DID win the drinking round! Thanks to Pencil Cases for stopping by, you were a small team yet held your own against the bigger teams.. Hope to have you back next week!

Great job to Team Plutonium who successfully Doubled in not one but two rounds, giving them the 1st place prize of the evening! Sparkling Dancing Unicorns was one of the few teams to get more than 3 answers in the final round, allowing them the land in second place, with Quiztopher Walken not far behind in third place. We're Fine Everything's Fine fell apart this week, but I'm hoping they have a comeback next week! Congrats to MDR Dispute for winning the drinking round, despite being slightly-off rhythm when it comes to Rock, Paper, Scissors ;). Thanks to Booch for returning and nearly landing in the top 3, and I hope next week we see some of the other newcomers!

This was a rollercoaster night of trivia, with 1 team with a huge lead all the way up until the last 2 rounds. We had several team with great comebacks via successful Doubles. In the end, Quiztopher Walken walked away with the top prize, with Diggle Bicks not far behind. Team Plutonium barely inched out We're Fine - sweet revenge from losing to them last week! Kudos to our newcomers Tony Danza's Bonanza who held their own and took many Double risks... Hope to see you again next week!
