QUIZ RECAP

It was a packed house tonight with plenty of old faces back in action as well as some new friends too. A rare hockey themed round resulted in a USA chant in honor of the USA Women's hockey team and we learned everything there was to know about different types of scales in the connection round. 

Free beer was given away to Teama Ima for being the most knowledgeable in America's favorite family, The Simpsons. We even got to listen to a few rad cover songs of the Simpson's theme while our teams battled it out. Great job team Xan Carson for the big win, which was no easy feat tonight with 14 teams competing!

QUIZ RECAP

There were a few different challenges tonight including the shortest sleeve competition which was won by the quizmaster himself! The quiz was a close one with most teams staying pretty even in the mid and lower standings. Our winners were in a league of their own, but were also dead even by the end and needed a tiebreaker.

Team Plutonium is notorious for their tried and true method of guessing some form of 69 in the event of a tiebreaker and it paid off again for them tonight. 690 was pretty darn close to the correct number of Alpacas in the world's longest Alpaca parade. Congrats Plutonium for continuing the be the most tongue in cheek family team this quizmaster has ever met.

QUIZ RECAP

It was great to return to Grunions after taking off two weeks for the birth of a future quizmaster! It was a night of catching up with the regulars as well as meeting a few new teams that had a great first quiz. Hoping to see them back again next week, especially team Rosemary who won the drinking round. Suggesting that the sport of having a threesome should be introduced as the newest olympic event not only won Rosemary the prize, but also got more than a few folks interested in training for this rigorous and exhausting sport.
