When Cherraneus, God Of Pitless Cherries, hurled his last few cherries at the Wall Of Doom, a nine million-mile high wall for athletic climbing, he thought for sure he had thrown them hard enough that they’d stick. But the last few he shot didn’t stick so well. Instead, they started to slowly sag and droop down the wall, which was troublesome for those athletic gods who were climbing it. You see, Cherr (to his friends) would throw a cherry with the force of a World War II-era Howitzer and they would stay fastened unmovable into the wall, thus providing stairs for those climbing. But these last few weren’t sticking and many gods did slide down into the Abyss Of Then, a time portal that sent them not only back in time but a place in time in which they really screwed up hard. “Don’t make me experience that again!” screamed Rocking, Goddess Of Concrete as she slid back to her high school prom in which Danny Less threw up on her tiara. “No, not again!” wailed Kumquaticus, God Of Lesser Fruits, as he inched inexorably to that time in boy scouts where he had six seconds to tie three sheepshanks and couldn’t do it. Here’s the point: Remembering back to to past failures is fine as long as it doesn’t scrape up your knees on a downward slide to hell. Let’s talk!
The Drinking Round was a departure. We played Race To The Bottom. Each team wrote down a number on a piece of paper and whoever wrote down the lowest without being repeated by another team won free drinks. The winner? Eureka, with 5! Brilliant and amazing!

When Suitaneus, God Of Three-Piece Suits, posed for his passport photo near the Waterfall Of Gravity, he never thought it would take more than five minutes. But Lightaneus, God Of Natural Light, was a stickler for his craft. “I’m getting too much of a glare from the sun,” complained Light (to his friends). “Too bad we’re only gods and can’t do anything about the sun,” answered Suit (to his friends). “I’m gonna call Helios,” said Light and here’s the thing about this: Light had Hel (to his friends) on speed dial so he speed dialed the hell out of him and somehow Hel wasn’t busy and he answered and he was all: “WHAT! I’m busy burning up over here!” “Look, explained Light, “I’m in the middle of a shoot and I’m getting a weird glare off the rocks and the water and I was wondering if you could shift the sun about a mile to the east?” “Will you promise never to call me again over this?” “Oh, I promise,” said light crossing his fingers. Within two seconds, the sun shot forward a mile and Light got the exact bounce he wanted. However, just at that moment, a a chiaroscuro sketch artist named Daniel came running over yelling: “What the hell! I was working on something!” Here’s the point: The sun may move only one mile, but that doesn’t mean the trivia at the Glendale Tap ain’t gonna slap! Let’s talk!
The Drinking Round tonight was a Chris Farley Off. Post-Pink took it with an uncanny rendition of Farley talking about some woman or something. Didn’t really follow it. Didn’t matter. Free drinks!

When Ramenaneus, God Of Packaged Noodles, flung his last delivery into the wheeled cart atop Mount Pasta, he thought he was done for the day. All he had to do next was push that cart down the steep embankment and into town for the hundreds of tiny Jackondas gathered for their annual pasta feast. When the people saw their pasta was gnocchi instead of rigatoni, there was an uproar. “Uproar!” they said at the same time. “Oh, that’s right,” he yelled to them, “I forgot you liked the rigs!” At that moment, Riganeus, God Of Rigatoni, swept down from the clouds and hand delivered, one tube at a time, rigatoni to the yelling people of the land! Because he was doing it one tube at a time though, it was starting to take hundreds of years, so Ram (to his friends) killed time by writing a cookbook titled “Next Time, Rigatoni…And In Bulk!” Here’s the point: Ask what the people want first, and give it to them one piece at a time. The Drinking Round was a Dog-Off: Of the three dogs in the bar for trivia—Ramen, Caz and Q-Bert, who could do the best impression of one of them? The winner? Not Not Horny for capturing the manner of a dog drinking at a bar.
