Sometimes the world is a scary place, but trivia night at The White Harte is always a place where I can forget all my worries and just have fun with a bunch of awesome people who are honestly, way smarter than I am!

In 2nd place, Tenders & Thai Sauce! Last week I looked up a recipe and now I think I'm gonna have to talk to the cook staff to put this team on the menu! ...Um... Not in a "To Serve Man" kind of way though.
Tonight's big winners Excelsior! Excelled with 2 fat perfect double or nothing's! They also (appropriately) won tonight's "Stan The Man" drinking round, where I had teams match the MCU movie to the cameo of the late great Stan Lee! RIP Mr. Lee. What better way to take your mind off the horrifyingly close midterm elections than a nice game of King Trivia and an LA Kings game on the TV?
Tonight's drinking round was very simple, entitled "Did Ya Vote?" the team with the highest percentage of players who could prove that they voted today won. I'm actually pretty sure all my player did vote, but we had 2 teams with 100% proof, i.e. stickers, ballot stubs or selfies at the polls. So for those two uber patriotic teams, we did a high card draw tie breaker. Team Artemis won with a King over a 4.
In 3d place tonight, they never meant to cause you any sorrow, they never meant to cause you any pain, they only wanted one time to see you laughing, they only wanted to see you laughing in the Purple Rain!
In 2nd place, with their panko crusted knowledge and 2 cloves garlic minced, 2 TBS brown sugar, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1.5 TBS Sriracha hot sauce, 1 tsp creamy peanut butter, 1 inch fresh ginger grated, 2 TBS water, 1 TBS cornstarch, 2 TBS cilantro chopped, it's a perfect recipe for victory! Tenders & Thai Sauce! Shit... Now I'm really hungry.

This is Halloween! This is Halloween! Well... Almost, and that damn good enough for me!
In our "HORRORable Films" drinking round where I read off 10 movie titles and synopses, some of which are real and some of which I made up. Well, Ralph and Princess Vanelope kinda WRECKED the system by choosing "real" for all of them! But nevertheless they won since I fooled everyone else!
