First, thank you to Joel, for covering me, and to all my players who were worried about me since they thought I was sick... No I just had to work super late at my boring job. Sorry all!

This game you guys! WOW! Round 1: Perfect scores across the board! over 50% with doubles! Round 2: Almost all perfect doubles! Round 4: Everyone got it on the same clue! This was an INSANE game!

I felt bad about missing a few shows so I let teams vote on tonight's drinking round. Either "Freeze Dance" or "Ermagerd Der & Der!" These unwitting adventurers chose to be lead into a truncated version of Dungeons & Dragons. (I have never denied that I'm a total nerd!) Bryan from Stellabrate Good Times landed the killing blow on my troll, despite not really understanding what the hell was going on!

We had a tied for 3rd! It was the battle of the beasts with The Fighting Mongooses & The Dog Mamas going head to head in a tie breaker!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 10206 Freeze Dance Sucks! 64 3 1.000
2 12669 Robert Downey Jr. Mints 59 2 0.667
3* 14206 The Fighting Mongooses 53 0 0.167
3 12700 Dog Mama's 53 0 0.167

Four teams played their hearts out tonight at the White Hearte!  With a commanding win, Robert Downey Jr. Mints lapped the competition by double upping their score in rounds 5 and 6, and finishing the night with an almost 30 point lead.  Finishing in second place was the Fighting Mongooses, third place went to Plaid is Rad and The Chinese Teriffs finished in fourth.

Tonight’s drinking round came courtesy of Doug Benson’s “Doug Loves Movies” podcast where we again played “Last Man Stanton” (a.k.a. The Seth Rogen Game, The New Game, or IMDb). It’s a game in which someone picks an actor or director with many credits to his or her name and guests go around identifying movies that this person has acted in or directed until there is only one person left who is able to name a movie.

Tonight we chose to do Denzel Washington movies, pictured above is the list of movies players did remember, and The Fighting Mongooses took home a well earned victory.

Thanks everybody, Adam will (again) hopefully be there next week and you can all tell him about how much you missed him!

Well White Harte, ya done good.  Your behavior since I last substitute hosted has improved tremendously.  Adam, your regular Quiz Master, should be proud of you.  There was no name calling, no book drops, no paper airplanes, and frankly, I couldn’t be happier.  You completely earned your snack time and recess, White Harte!  Good job!

As for the game last night, there was a packed house with 9 teams and 36 players!  Cowboys and Indians doubled up their round 7 score and pulled out a 4 point victory over the Fighting Mongooses.  The Periodic Table Dancers had a fine night, finishing in third place and winning the super competitive drinking round.

Last night’s drinking round came courtesy of Doug Benson’s “Doug Loves Movies” podcast where we played “Last Man Stanton” (a.k.a. The Seth Rogen Game, The New Game, or IMDb). It’s a game in which someone picks an actor or director with many credits to his or her name and guests go around identifying movies that this person has acted in or directed until there is only one person left who is able to name a movie.

We chose to do George Clooney movies, and learned that he was NOT in “Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes,” but he did appear in “Return of The Killer Tomatoes!”   Pictured above is the list of movies players did remember, and as previously mentioned, The Periodic Table Dancers took home that victory.

Thanks everybody, Adam will hopefully be there next week and you can all tell him about how much you missed him!
