What a great night at The White Harte! The soccer game brought in some new players to battle against the regulars and a few faces that I haven't seen around in a while!
Since July 4th is coming up, I decided that tonight's drinking round should be "AMERICA! F*** YEEEAAAAH!" Where teams had to come up with something the Europeans would describe as "violently American." A phrase, a drawing, whatever they wanted, total artistic freedom, because this is America! Some were classic, some were politically charged, some assaulted my eyes with violently patriotic imagery. But the one that really just landed with me as the most violently American, simply: "Home Town Buffet." Submitted by Tower of Power!
In 3rd place tonight, Just the type of team that would force Bruce Willis to steal famous artworks for victory! But fortunately for us and Mr. Willis, team Darwin Mayflower made it there all on their own!

Shall I compare tonight's game at The White Harte to a Summer's day? ... NO! The weather was weird and gloomy, but that didn't stop my awesome players from turning up the heat tonight!
For tonight's drinking round, we played "All Around the Mulberry Bush" which was originally going to be a game of musical chairs, but due to limited space turned into a playing card version of the classic children's game. Players passed around cards and whomever was holding the joker when the music stopped got eliminated. Yeah, I admit this was not the best thought out drinking round... But regardless, The Trivia Vixens came out on top and got some extra drinks!
Coming in third place tonight was a new team I hope to see again! I was instructed after round 1 that it is not pronounced "P.R.N.D.L" but rather "PRNDL" expressed as a single word.... Regardless of my confusion and difficulty pronouncing the name, team PRNDL shifted from Park, through Reverse, Neutral & Drive and straight to Low Gear to arrive in 3rd place. (ha ha yay google!)
Rock band frontmen are somewhat known for their flakiness, perhaps our 2nd place team would've won the gold if he wasn't...DUN DUN DUN... DEAD!!! Eddie and the Cruisers won 2nd place!
Tonight's champions with a perfect double inbound 2, and perfect scores in rounds 6 & 7 AND got some drinks! The Trivia Vixens skulked all the reynards to the yard! Damn right they'd teach you... but they'd have to charge!

It was a game of guts and glory (or grief) for my players at The White Harte tonight! 5 perfect scores in Round 1, 1 of which was a double! In Round 3, all but 1 team doubled down even though they should have! At the end, 2 teams launched themselves higher on the scoreboard with perfect doubles in Round 7! I could barely pronounce some of the countries that sprang from the former USSR, let alone identify 10 of them! So good job to everyone! I was extremely impressed!
In tonight's "Cards Against Sobriety" drinking round, we played Card Against Humanity... But yunno... for drinks. I gave each team 10 white cards to choose from to match up to my randomly drawn black card "What is George W. Bush thinking about right now?" The Trivia Squanchers won with, not necessarily the funniest, but the most logical, and probably most accurate answer "Former President George W. Bush!" (see tonight's pics for the runners up.)
Cruising towards the top all night, but only faltering in round 4. Still enough for 3rd! Eddie and the Cruisers!
In the lead ALL night and taking the drinking round! They squanched down in 2 squanches and squanched it! giving The Trivia Squanchers 2nd Squelch. (to Rick & Morty fans, this makes sense... To everyone else this is complete nonsense...)
Tonight's 1st place champions Quiz Khalifa! They're definitely Something New to Trivia night, but they got Real Rich with a perfect double in the final round. I'm sure I'll See You Again, you bunch of Hopeless Romantic[s]!
