It's always a good feeling when I walk out of the back room of The White Harte and notice that I've got more than twice the people playing trivia as there are just hanging out in the front bar! We packed the HELL out of that room! Standing room only! Sorry to This Isn't Speed Dating? Not only were their hopes for love dashed, but they had to stand the entire game. Show up before round 2 next time eh?
From the briny depths of Davey Jones' locker came Cephalopods Are My Favorite, wriggling their tentacles past 2 teams by 1 point to grasp 3rd place!
in 2nd place Hoya and Friends who not only won a $20 gift certificate they also won our "Same is Lame" drinking round where a team rep had to pick a number (1-5) and hope other reps didn't pick the same or face elimination! (OK, note to self... Don't steal drinking round games from Mario Party 6 anymore.)

Teams were on FIRE tonight! Both figuratively and almost literally! It was over 80 degrees and the extra body heat from PACKING the place made for a hot night, and throughout most of the game teams were either tied or within 1 or 2 points of each other. It took a few double or nothing's to finally distinguish our winners.
New-comers Perfectenschlag won some drinks in our "Wright Brothers, Schmight Brothers" drinking round where teams made a paper airplane and launched them across the parking lot (It wasn't any cooler outside.)
In 3rd place, team Shoeshiners with an astonishing knowledge of battles! Unlike what I'm hoping is their namesake Andy Dwyer (yeah, I've been watching a lot of Park & Rec lately.)
In 2nd place, dispite holding true to their name for most of the game And in First Place... Wound up 2 points shy of their goal.

Wow, there were a lot of faces I haven't seen in a long time at the White Harte tonight! It was like a huge King Trivia reunion! Special shout out to Andrew (who I've been calling Bryan for a long time because I'm an idiot!) Happy birthday dude! I'm pretty sure I'll get your name right after that embarrassing debacle! (No promises though, I tend to drink... a lot.)
In our Comic-Con inspired "Super Zeros" drinking round, teams gave me a name and superpower of a lame super hero that would never make it onto the Avengers or Justice League. Our top 2 were "PCP, Politically Correct Person: with the power to never offend anyone (they had to let him on the Avengers for legal reasons.)" Provided by Team: House of Trivia: Winner of Games, First of Their Name, Knowers of all Things Trivial, Killers of Freys, We Drink and We Know Things. Yeah, awesome name guys, but there was NO WAY I was gonna repeat that every round, I love ya, but damn! Winning the drinking round was Semantic Argument who gave me "Captain Smooth #smoothtalkin [who] enjoys long walks on the beach and saving damsels in distress by striking up conversations with the cool kids, the crazies or anyone at the bar." Would these heroes save the world from Thanos or Doomsday? Probably not, but they sure as hell made my night!
In 3rd place, a group of long time regulars who I am ashamed to say I have been calling the wrong names for a long time now. Sorry Andrew, I get confused sometimes. Happy Birthday! They're team name is usually based off of a round 1 question, and tonight they were on FIRE! Volcanoes Rock! Took home the $10 win!
In 2nd, The More We Drink, The Less We Know Stuff proved themselves wrong again, because I didn't see any water being delivered to their table! You guys should probably think of reversing your name, because you rocked it tonight!
Our champions this evening, ShakesBeers rained down poetic whoop-ass down on all of the other teams with 2 perfect double or nothing's, giving them a commanding lead the whole night!
