I love running King Trivia at The White Harte! Not much can keep me away! Not even a WWII Nazi plane crashing into the 101 freeway! We had a fantastic game despite not having my usual equipment and thus, no music. But it worked out since we could have the audio of the Dodger game on.
In my "Geography of Horror" drinking round, where I asked teams to identify the US State in which 10 different Stephen King novels took place... One team caught on to the fact that pretty much EVERY King novel is based in Maine! That team was Purple Rain!
I'm not quite sure if our 3rd place team Boo With a lot of O's was being spooky or just really didn't like my work as a QM. But I'm gonna go ahead and say that it was the former.
Purple Rain took home 2nd place! Unfortunately they were not decked out in purple leather, as some of us (OK, maybe just me) would have hoped. But it is a little too far away from Halloween for that. So, I understand.
I haven't seen tonight's 1st place winners in a few weeks. But much to their competitor's chagrin, the weaselly group of smarties The Fighting Mongooses have returned to claim victory once again!

Oh! Was there some kind of sports ball match on tonight? I was lucky, my players at the White Harte were content to have the game on the TV but on mute so I could do my thing. When I left it was tied at the bottom of the 10th inning, when I'm writing this, it's the bottom of the 13th! WOW! Go Dodgers! In the only competition that I particularly cared about this evening, there were some twists and turns as well!
Tonight's drinking round was the 1st Halloween themed games, "HA HA HA AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Where teams had to come up with a Halloween themed joke. Newcomers Team 10 who apparently took having a team number quite literally, won with: "Why can't witches have babies? ... Because their husbands have halloweenies!"
Coming in 3rd place, despite her obvious handicap of being on dry land, (I think that's where her teammates came in) Liz is a Mermaid!
In 2nd place, stomping the competition with back to back perfect 10 scores in rounds 5 & 6, the Thunder Lizards!
in 1st place, compelling me to use the Randy Savage voice every time I said their name because I can't resist a Spiderman reference... Bonesaw is Ready!

Quite a difficult quiz tonight! But the teams at The White Harte tackled them with the gusto of a linebacker! (Did I make the sports ball reference right?)
In tonight's "Musical Stools" drinking round, Mike from Clever Allusion squirmed his butt onto a seat of victory and beer!
Yes, they're silly. Yes, they're humanized dogs. Yes, they have a mouse friend who owns a dog. But we love them all the same... The Goof Troop claimed 3rd place! Just as sweet as the "Tower of Cheese-A!"
Our 2nd place team's name might have been very witty. It might have been slightly dirty. But, we are left guessing. As it was truly a Clever Allusion!
Tonight's champions! Wining in a tie breaker! Another godly bulls eye for Team Artemis! "O pale, cool goddess, proud and free [Thy hast achieved victory!]"
