Murphy's law applied to my set up for this show... Last night, while wrapping christmas presents I thought, I should listen to Pandora christmas music from my phone through my sound bar. So I used my Aux cable that I usually use for trivia and forgot to reconnect the adaptor that allows said Aux cable to plug into my PA. Despite having to go to 2 different stores, waiting in holiday lines and having to park 2 blocks away we only started 5 minutes late! I know everyone was thinking "where the hell is the trivia guy?" My apologies for all of that, but regardless, we had an AMAZING show at the White Harte! We PACKED the place with no room to spare and had one HELL of a good time! "Adam's Missing Component" Took home 1st place...wait...you were there the whole time? GAAAAAHHHH!! "Dirty Mike & the Boys (Sans Christina)" proved that Christina isn't the only big brain on the team by claiming 2nd! In 3rd was "Dennis" who proved to be a menace only to the teams they beat. Our 4th place team however, "Fiiiive Golden Riiings" still won! In our "Whiskey Challenge" drinking round where I had teams identify 3 types of whiskey (Jack Daniels, Jameson & Jim Beam) correctly just by taking tiny tastes, we had a tie between 4 teams with perfect scores. They ended up winning the tie breaker question, being the closest to the year Jameson was introduced. (1780 by the way.)

Damn, you guys had me worried! 10 minutes before the show there were 5 people... and then BAM! At the last minute everyone showed up and we had one hell of a game! The "Los Angeles Chargers" took home 1st with 69 points *giggity* even though one of their players got all tuckered out by the end of the game. In 2nd place was a team I haven't seen in a while but sure did miss their crazy-ass names "Sin City 2017: Ben Carson Edition." In 3rd was "Team America" FUUCK YEAAH! ENOUGH SAID! Winning our "ZOMBOCALYPSE" drinking round where I had teams pick 5 fictional characters to help them survive the zombie apocalypse was "Late Night Tacos" with 2 of the best answers I could imagine; The Flash for supply runs, and the Genie from Aladdin, so they could wish the zombies away! Hopefully their munchies were taken care of, they sure as shit weren't thirsty!

Man, oh man, did the teams at The White Harte kick some ass tonight! I had a bunch of teams double down a bunch of times and even more that should've! The team that always seems to pick their name based off a question in round 1, in this case "The Phantom Limbs" (based off of the answer for #5) could definitely feel the sweet sting of victory with a 3rd place win! Seinfeld fans "Art Vandelay" not only took home 2nd, but also won our drinking round "The Hunt for the Red October" where we played the old school board game Battleship but with a twist. I only had my submarine out there and it only took 1 hit to sink it! They chose H8 (Hate) which was the reason I chose that particular location! They read my metal little mind! Sorry (or maybe, you're welcome) kiddies of whatever local Woodland Hills school, but Wednesday is gonna be a watch Bill Nye the Science Guy day, because "Shitty Teachers Tomorrow" took home 1st place and possibly drank their atomic weight in booze! I've got to give an honorable mention to "The Wellingtons" for their awesome wrong answers in our 5X5 final round, for the question: "What are the five spices in Chinese 5 spice powder?" They put "communism, cream of sum yung guy, fish, soy sauce and cheaply made goods." Unfortunately I don't give points for making me laugh my ass off, but they did know all the names of the Spice Girls and got 5 points!
