With the World Cup in full swing The White Harte was looking more like a mead hall than a pub! Teams did not let all those extra tables go to waste! It was PACKED tonight! I felt like I was in Trivia Valhalla!
For tonight's drinking round I figured I'd tug on some nostalgia strings and play "KERPLUNK!" But with a twist! Instead of having the least amount of marbles at the end, the winner was whomever had the closest to 7 without going over. Yeah, Price is Right rules! Most people had 0 or 1, one player had 16! But our rep from the MOISTketeers got some drinks with 5 marbles! No marbles were lost, because let's face it... I lost my marbles a LONG time ago!

My players know, I'm more of a nerd than a sports fan. So it should be no surprise that I thought tonight's 2nd place team's name Strakarnir Okkar was Klingon instead of the Icelandic battle cry "our boys" in support of their team in the World Cup! (Oh yeah, I googled that shit!)
Our winning team's namesake left me very confused in the 90's as a young metalhead. I hated pop music, but... my hormones! Because... It's Brittany, Bitch! For the 2nd week in a row took home the mantle of 1st place!

The only word to sum up tonight's game, calls for a quote of Joey Russo from "Blossom"..."WHOA!" I always get to The White Harte at least a half hour early. Tonight, I made it there early and was pressed to find a parking spot! So many people played that a few teams had to share tables! First and foremost I want to thank everyone for letting me live my rockstar fantasy that made me become a Quizmaster all those years ago! Secondly, it was so hot that I wore shorts tonight. So I apologize to anyone who looked down and got blinded!
It was so crowded, that I had to change my drinking round on the fly, since it would probably cause a fire hazard or at least piss Mary off that we were all in her way! So, 1 Rep from each team joined me outside in "Wright Brothers, Schmight Brothers." Where teams made paper airplanes, and whoever's plane flew the farthest won! Tonight's drinking round winners, a team that is usually a brutal dictator when it comes to trivia points, but at least they had a good time! Kim Jong Fun!

HOLY SHIT! Yeah, I know, I don't usually swear right off the bat... but HOLY SHIT! The White Harte was PACKED with trivia players and we started the game off with a SEVEN TREAM TIE! All with perfect doubles AND registered team bonus points! It was an incredibly close game with teams leading each other by only 1 or 2 points throughout, and some upsets for teams with an early lead!
In our "Logo Mania" drinking round, teams drew me a logo for their team. Some were very artfully done, some had a great theme and stick figures. They all made me laugh! Our winners The Squirtle Squad drew the most badass bunch of Pokemon I'd ever seen!
Coming in 3rd place, a team I'm very proud of, because at least I know they voted for someone today, Vote For Pedro!
Our 1st and 2nd place teams tied tonight at 71 points, after both doubling down in round 5 and jumping ahead of the previous leaders. Game of Thrones fans The Mildlings went against Delicious Food fans Tenders and Thai Sauce in a tie breaker! Well, The night is dark and full of errors! The Mildlings came out on top and claimed 1st place!
