About Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden

We are striving to bring the best in fresh & authentic German cuisine to Long Beach. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, sausages, Bavarian pretzels and of course our famous apple strudel.

It also includes multiple vegetarian & vegan options and kid-friendly dishes.

Rasselbock, Kitchen & Beer Garden is located in Bixby Knolls, a beautiful neighborhood just 10 min from Downtown Long Beach.

We have a parking lot with over 40 spots behind the restaurant and free parking on Atlantic Ave for 2h. Rasselbock is a German restaurant and pub specializing in German food with a modern twist and freshly tapped German and Belgian beers since we opened in 2016. Featuring over 35 German and Belgian beers, homemade sangrias and a great selection of German and Californian Wines.

Drink Coffee at the Merchant brought in reinforcements in the form of an old familiar face, and it resulted in a commanding 17 point victory. They were perfect through three rounds with Doubles in each round, and while they couldn't hold that pace, they still ended with an impressive 82 points.

Marshall's Minions finished solidly in 2nd with 65, and Blue Team quietly snuck into third with a round 5 double.

An imposter was in the house this week at Rasselbock(well, on the patio to be specific). A team calling itself Marshal's Minions (with one L) turned up, in addition to usual contender Marshall's Minions. The apparent attempt at gamesmanship seemed to work initially, as the legacy Minions missed a double early and guessed incorrectly on the Guess Who, allowing the [patio/one-L/imposter] Minions to take a substantial lead. 

The tides turned in round 5, with Marshall's doubling and Marshal's failing in their attempt, a 20 point swing leaping the former to the lead. Better Late Than Pregnant also doubled, putting them in 2nd.

 

Scores shuffled again after round 6, with several teams doubling. Five teams had a legitimate chance at first going into the final round. In the end, [patio/one-L/imposter] Marshal's Minions tied with Better Late for first, and Better Late took the tiebreaker for the title.

Marshall's Minions took an early lead in search of their fourth consecutive victory, and carried the lead through most of the game. Welcome Back Mr. D'Joy surprised them with a round 6 double to overcome a 10 point deficit and take the lead. Marshall's then swung for the fences in round 7 hoping to retake it, striking out on a double-or-nothing when it turned out they only needed a base hit (their 8 correct answers would've won it). Pants! With a Dog! (the dog was pantsless) finished third with 64, 25 points ahead of fourth.
