About Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden

We are striving to bring the best in fresh & authentic German cuisine to Long Beach. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, sausages, Bavarian pretzels and of course our famous apple strudel.

It also includes multiple vegetarian & vegan options and kid-friendly dishes.

Rasselbock, Kitchen & Beer Garden is located in Bixby Knolls, a beautiful neighborhood just 10 min from Downtown Long Beach.

We have a parking lot with over 40 spots behind the restaurant and free parking on Atlantic Ave for 2h. Rasselbock is a German restaurant and pub specializing in German food with a modern twist and freshly tapped German and Belgian beers since we opened in 2016. Featuring over 35 German and Belgian beers, homemade sangrias and a great selection of German and Californian Wines.

It was a smaller than usual crowd at Rasselbock Trivia this week, which was unfortunate, because those in attendance got to witness history: Drink Coffee at the Merchant recorded the first triple-digit score and first perfect game in Rasselbock Trivia history! They got every question right, doubled every round, and guessed the Guess Who on the first clue. They even won the drinking round!

Both Drink Coffee at the Merchant and Tom's Gardening Service doubled all of the first three rounds, but only Merchant was able to identify BTS on the first clue (half the teams never identified them at all), keeping their perfect game going. 

Impressively, Tom's stayed within striking distance of Merchant until the very end. Both teams decided to double the last round without much confidence in their answers--Tom's gunning for the victory and Merchant gunning for glory--and both were correct in their guesses of Prince's movie roles. 

Me and Larry, featuring former Drink Coffee at the Merchant member Larry, finished in third place, 53 points back.

Pants! made a triumphant return, sealing the victory before the final round even started, and ending with 80 points. 

Drink Coffee at the Merchant took 2nd with 58, and Marshall's Minions edged out You See What Happens, Larry, When You... for third place.

The returns of Marshall's Minions and Drink Coffee at the Merchant, along with 14 other teams new and old, made for one of the most competitive games of trivia in recent memory. 

An incredible EIGHT teams finished over 60 points, point totals that would win many weeks.

Both Drink Coffee at the Merchant and I Dont Know, Just Guess doubled in rounds 1, 2, 3, and 5, and got round 4 on the second clue. Just Guess gained one point on a perfect round 6, and held on for the 85 to 84 victory. Marshall's Minions had their own doubles in 1, 2, and 5, but it was round 3 that set them back. They finished a solid 3rd, four points ahead of Casually Indifferent and Draft Drunk.
