About Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden

We are striving to bring the best in fresh & authentic German cuisine to Long Beach. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, sausages, Bavarian pretzels and of course our famous apple strudel.

It also includes multiple vegetarian & vegan options and kid-friendly dishes.

Rasselbock, Kitchen & Beer Garden is located in Bixby Knolls, a beautiful neighborhood just 10 min from Downtown Long Beach.

We have a parking lot with over 40 spots behind the restaurant and free parking on Atlantic Ave for 2h. Rasselbock is a German restaurant and pub specializing in German food with a modern twist and freshly tapped German and Belgian beers since we opened in 2016. Featuring over 35 German and Belgian beers, homemade sangrias and a great selection of German and Californian Wines.

Rassel-Almost-Back claimed their first victory in 18 months despite, as their name suggests, not quite having their team back at full strength. They held the leaderboard all night from the second round double. They showed their versitility -- doubling down on rounds of famous paintings as well as NFL quarterbacks. Marshall's Minions made it close by doubling in the final round, finishing second. The Buffoons could won it all with a little more confidence, but they elected not to double their perfect final round. They finished third.

The first show back after a brief 18-month hiatus brought a healthy crowd and some familiar faces. Past champions Drink Coffee at the Merchant and  Pants! commanded the game early with leads after successfully doubled first and second rounds, respectively. Starmann+1 roared back from a failed round 2 double to take 2nd place going into the final round, by doubling rounds 5 and 6. Drink Coffee at the Merchant did the same to expand their lead, while Pants! dropped to third by not doubling their perfect round 5.

Round 7 tested teams' Biblical knowledge, and Starmann+1 was a little too confident in their list of Jesus' disciples. They attempted a final double-or-nothing and it left them off the podium with a narrow 4th. Marshall's Minions was 3rd, Pants! 2nd, and Merchant captured the first weekly title of 2021.

Teams weathered the end of the world to voyage to Rasselbock this Wednesday, and they brought their A games with them. Five teams eclipsed 66 points, and the fourth place team, Rocket to Saturn, didn't even finish in the money despite missing only two questions.

The top three teams were simply more aggressive with their doubles-or-nothing. Duke Silver Backing Band doubled in rounds 2 and 5, and had a perfect guess-what round guess, which proved to be the difference in their 3 point margin of victory.

Takin Care of Quizness doubled in rounds 2, 3, and 5, and finished T-2nd with 77. Drink Coffee at the Merchant came from behind with a long shot double in the final round to tie for 2nd, and then won the tiebreaker.
