About Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden

We are striving to bring the best in fresh & authentic German cuisine to Long Beach. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, sausages, Bavarian pretzels and of course our famous apple strudel.

It also includes multiple vegetarian & vegan options and kid-friendly dishes.

Rasselbock, Kitchen & Beer Garden is located in Bixby Knolls, a beautiful neighborhood just 10 min from Downtown Long Beach.

We have a parking lot with over 40 spots behind the restaurant and free parking on Atlantic Ave for 2h. Rasselbock is a German restaurant and pub specializing in German food with a modern twist and freshly tapped German and Belgian beers since we opened in 2016. Featuring over 35 German and Belgian beers, homemade sangrias and a great selection of German and Californian Wines.

'Twas a record night at Rasselbock this Wednesday, with 20 teams participating in the trivia festivities. Giddy Up jumped out to a lead with a perfect first round, a lead they would never relinquish, winning with 62 points and narrowly besting Olivia Jade and Pants with 60 and 59, respectively. Six teams successfully doubled in the final round, making it an exciting finish, but the top three spots didn't change.

Jas won the drinking round by most closely guessing the total number of Mister Rogers Neighborhood episodes.

Drink Coffee at the Merchant returned to the winner's circle after several bronze and silver finishes, in another rousing edition of Wednesday night trivia at Rasselbock. The Duke Silver Backing Band pulled second place with their canine friend, and Giddy Up finished a close third.

Latecomer Wicked Chambaaah almost pulled off a furious comeback -- if Steel Magnolias would have grossed 3 million more dollars at the US Box Office, they would have had a perfect doubled final round (the question was to name 10 Julia Roberts movies that grossed $100m domestically), which would have vaulted them into second place even despite missing the first round.

Free Levi won the drinking round with the closest guess to the number of pints of Guinness projected to be consumed on St Patty's Day worldwide (13 million).

Mike Tyson's Speech School achieved a new level of gamesmanship this Wednesday -- building a big enough lead that they could purposely not double their perfect final round to end with a score of 69 (Nice!).

Pants! finished second with 54, besting The Merchant by one. Pants! didn't miss a question for the first three rounds (although they only doubled one of those), but they were foiled by an incorrect guess in the Guess Who round. That allowed Mike Tyson's Speech School to open up a healthy 12 point lead after doubles in the third and fifth rounds.

The Merchant Says Tip Chefs in Beer achieved their second straight third place finish (albeit with more teammates this week).

The drinking round was an embarrassment -- the question was when the last time Ash Wednesday fell on March 6th. The closest guess was Pants! with 2007. The correct answer was 1957. I was tempted to switch to Price is Right rules and award it to Aaaaaaaahh!!!, who guessed 2 Million B.C.
