About Hyperion Public - Silver Lake

We are your local neighborhood restaurant and bar where everyone is welcome hence the word "Public" in our name. Our restaurant has a rough luxe decor serving quality food and cocktails, a mix of craft and traditional beers, along with a good selection of wines, in a communal atmosphere. Hidden in the back of the restaurant is our upstairs bar and lounge also serving food and cocktails, that has a jukebox, dartboard, piano, mic, and TVs for sports (Sunday NFL Ticket).

Despite the intense heat and smog, nearly a dozen teams came out to mud-wrestle with their minds at Hyperion Public on Monday.  Seize the D took an insane lead with four double downs and could not even be remotely caught.  Can't Hardly Dead Weight won the battle over silver, but only just.  And it was Sam from Keep it Fresh! that won our Spelling Bee for the drinking round.  The winning word?  Zeitgeist.

Season 9 of League Play definitely started out right!

There was a ton of competition the whole night.

Clearly, there were a lot of Allison Brie fans in the house. Last night was one of the only times where all of the teams figured out our Guess Who round correctly.

It was tight, but successfully doubling down in rounds 5 and 6 set Never Been Brissed (pictured) in the lead at the end of the night!

An amazing 18 teams came out to strut their stuff at Hyperion Public on Monday night, and strut did they.  With so many strong doubles at the beginning and end, it was really the mid game that made the winners win, and no one mid gamed better than Seize the D.  They played steadily and fastly with grit and determination.  Yet it was 6 Dope Queens who very nearly got their goat, with a deficiency of just two points.  All told, it was an exciting and invigorating night of trivia and bs.
