About Hyperion Public - Silver Lake

We are your local neighborhood restaurant and bar where everyone is welcome hence the word "Public" in our name. Our restaurant has a rough luxe decor serving quality food and cocktails, a mix of craft and traditional beers, along with a good selection of wines, in a communal atmosphere. Hidden in the back of the restaurant is our upstairs bar and lounge also serving food and cocktails, that has a jukebox, dartboard, piano, mic, and TVs for sports (Sunday NFL Ticket).

A highly competitive night of trivia is what we just experienced at Hyperion Public and boy, did the teams turn out in droves to hammer home their trivia knowledge.  2 teams were in the running all night, but it was Little Lebowski's Double Down in the final round that propelled them from the middle of the pack to full fledged victory.  Despite their lagging score, United Colors of Benetton's know-how of Guinness perfection allowed them to safely secure a free round of drinks for their table.  All of this is just the usual fare at HYPERION PUBLIC TRIVIA SHOWDOWN!!!

Well folks, they've finally done it.  Since my very first night hosting at Hyperion Public, they've been telling me they had their sights set on Little Lebowski's and their complete and total victories.  No longer would The Sham Parson's Project stand by and let Lebowski's take home the gold.  They brought in their greatest recruits and doubled down on more rounds than they'd care to admit.  And through it all, they emerged on the other side as victors.  Now, will the Urban Achievers stand for this?  Will they allow their honor to be dashed in the dirt like so much a dirty hankie?  Or will they return next week to exact vengeance on the very team that took them out? Each of the winning teams had a ringer tonight: Little Lebowski's with their art history major who managed to nail every single artist to their movement, and Seize the D with their naval brat whose Top Gun knowledge was unparalleled.  But nothing tops 8 Kings of the Sea taking the drinking round by correctly calculating in miles the distance from L.A. to Lisbon on a piece of scratch paper.  That is genuinely impressive.
