QUIZ RECAP

Well, it was a strange night at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills for King Trivia as the Dodgers were playing in what would be their final game of their postseason this year, sad for all who were fans watching the game while playing trivia. The game started off optimistically with the Dodgers scoring three runs to none for the Nats, and things were looking like they could go the Dodgers' way, but a home run given up by Buehler, and then two back to back jacks given on three pitchers to two batters by Clayton Kershaw late in the game saw the Nats tie the game, and deflated the air out of an excited sports-watching, trivia playing crowd. Sadly in extra innings Dodgers pitcher Joe Kelly would load the bases and then give up a nail in the coffin Grand slam, which sealed the Dodgers' fate, and fans removed their hats and jerseys, or at least trivia host Danny did, as soon as the game was final.

It made it tough to host, not just because of the results of the game, but also because many people were interested in watching the game too. So we started the night with our two handout rounds, the picture round, and then the matching round, before getting into the read questions. Joining Quizmaster Danny for the evening was new trainee, Rich who spent some time reading the questions and answers as well!

For the Drinking Round, teams sent up one player to play best two out of three in Rock Paper Scissors. Winning that tournament and a round of shots for their team were Beer Pressure! Congrats you guys!

Coming in third place and taking home a $10 gift certificate was Hanky Panky!!

I'm 2nd, scoring 72 points and getting the $20 gift certificate, were the Mighty Mighty Puffins. Not their usual spot at the top of the standings, but a great showing nonetheless.

And taking the top spot this week and the $30 gift certificate, was Bristol Fashion, playing with only two membersof their regular team! You guys killed it with 80 points! ?

For the Drinking Round, teams got to play another round of Survey Slam, King Trivia's newest iteration, inspired by Family Feud, where King Trivia fans answer survey questions every week for Friday nights games currently at SoCal Dude's Brewery locations. Whoever had the most points in the Drinking Round would win the round of shots for their team. With 12 points scored, Will Impeach for Beer won the round and their shots!

Not only did they win the Drinking Round, but they also won the 2nd place for the night! They scored a $20 gift certificate thanks to a successful double or nothing in Round 2 helping contribute to their total 63 points! Awesome job you guys!

For 3rd place, there was a three way tie. So one member from Hanky Panky, Kirkin' Chirpits and Mr. Kite had to answer a tie breaker question. All teams had scored 59 points. The winner of the tie breaker and the third place prize of $10 gift certificate, was Mr. Kite! Great job!

Last but not least, our first place team, the always dominant Mighty Mighty Puffins, scored 75 points and took home a $30 gift certificate! Fantastic as always Puffins!

QUIZ RECAP

While you were busy giving your pet salamander a bath, a bunch of trivia enthusiasts gathered at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills on Wednesday night for King Trivia! Can't believe you missed out! But here's a recap of you did miss it!

For the Drinking Round, teams had to send one player up to compete in a timed game. Quizmaster Danny had set up a two tables set about ten feet apart from each other, and one table had 4 empty soda cans on it with the trans stocking straight up. One at a time, each player had to take a piece of uncooked spaghetti in their mouth and on go, had to transfer one can at a time from one table to another standing them up on the other table and removing the spaghetti from the can tab. The first person to transfer all four cans the fastest and remove the spaghetti from the tab, would be the winner of the Drinking Round and the round of shots! Able to do it in 31.67 seconds was team She Sells Sea Shells and She's a Whore, who was playing by himself, so the bar was happy they only had to give out one free shot lololol! Congrats She Sells!

Coming in 3rd place was team Bristol Fashion who scored 52 points and even kept their third place spot after scoring 0 points in the final round! Luckily no other teams were able to get at most two of the answers correct in the final round! Brussel Fashion took home the $10 good certificate! Woop woop!

Coming in Second Place and scoring 55 points after also getting zero points in the final round, was team Hanky Panky! They took home the $20 gift certificate! Awesome job as always HP!

And coming in 1st place, able to get two of the possible 11 correct answers in Round 7, which secured them the lead were the Mighty Mighty Puffins! They can't be stopped!
