Wednesday Wednesday Wednesday!! Another King Trivia night at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills has come and gone! Here's the recap:

For the Drinking Round teams had to shoot a miniature foam dart gun at a 3 piece tower made of two cardboard wrapping paper type rolls, and a baseball in between. Each team would send one player up to play and they would have two doors to try and knock down at least one piece of the structure. Only two teams were able to shoot a piece off in the first round so they both moved on to the second round. In the end, it was Bidwell Park that came out in top and won the Round of shots for their team! Congrats!

Coming in 3rd place was team 38, Lives Alone, and Has 3 Cats. They scored a total of 66 points to win them the $10 gift certificate. Good job!

Coming in 2nd place and winning the $20 gift certificate were the Mighty Mighty Puffins! Always a strong team, MMP were short several members of their team, but they still led from the beginning of the game and were up by 8 points heading into the final round. Unfortunately they only got 7 out of 8 possible points in the final round, and the team that was 8 points behind them after 6 rounds successfully doubling down on the final round to ultimately best MMP by one point. What a heartbreak!

And who was that first place team you ask?! Well none other than another strong team, Hanky Panky! Their successful double down on the final round won them the 1st place prize! Congrats!

And that wraps up your recap for Wednesday night's King Trivia at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills! See you next week for more King Trivia! Remember as always, help control the pet population, have your pets spayed and neutered.

Wow! What a packed bar on Wednesday night! Love it when the bar is full for King Trivia! Every Wednesday night @ Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills we have exciting, blow your mind trivia, and this past Wednesday was no different!

For the Drinking Round, teams had two chances to make two pieces of crumpled up paper into a trash can. If you got both you moved on to the next round, if you got one piece in, you would only move on if no one else made both. After one round of that, we were down to two teams, Group Blind Date and the Black & Gold Brigade. Black and Gold Brigade went first and missed the first shot, and made the second. Group Blind Date needed to make both to win or one to take it to another round, but unfortunately he missed both, and Black and Gold Brigade won the round of shots for his team! Way to go!

The rest of the game was very competitive also, as 3 teams successfully doubled down in the first round! But of those 3 teams, only 2 made it to the Winners' Circle!

One of those 2 teams were the Mighty Mighty Puffins! Regularly a top 3 team whenever they play, and this week was no exception as they scored 78 points, but that was only good enough to get them 3rd place! I mentioned it was a competitive game didn't I?

For 1st and 2nd Place we had a tie between two teams, Group Blind Date, and Hanky Panky, so we had to have a tie breaker question. One member from each team had to guess how many pounds of cheese were used on the Record holder for the largest pizza ever made! Hanky Panky guessed 40 pounds, while Group Blind Date guessed 2100 pounds! There was a really wide range in the two guesses, but it turned out that over 3600 pounds of cheese were used! So although both teams scored 82 points, Hanky Panky took home the 2nd place prize, and Group Blind Date won the 1st place prize!

  1. What a night! See you next Wednesday at Pickwick's Pub for more exciting King Trivia!

For the Drinking Round, teams had to send up one player to play a game called Face the Cookie! The game comes from the television game show Minute to Win It, and the object of the game was to start with the cookie on your forehead, then you can only use your face muscles to move the cookie from your forehead to your mouth. Whoever did that and are the whole cookie the fastest, would win the Drinking Round and a round of shots for whomever was drinking on their team. Winning the Drinking Round and eating that Chips Ahoy Cookie the fastest was team Lutefisk Curry! Way to go!

Coming in 3rd place was team G & G who scored 46 points and won themselves a $10 gift certificate! Woot woot!
