Wow!!!! King Trivia at Pickwick's Pub on Wednesday nights has been hot hot hot the last few weeks! Last night we had over 60 players packing in to both rooms of the bar ready to show off their knowledge of pop culture, history, sports, fictional fox characters, etc.
For the drinking round, teams had to send up a representative to play a beer pong like game. A red solo cup with water in it was placed on one table, and players had 6 ping pong balls that they had to bounce off a different table spaced a few feet away from the other. Whoever got the most out of the 6 ping pong balls in the cup, would win the round of shots for their team. At first, there was a 3 way tie with 3 teams scoring one ping pong ball, but the 6th team to go, Baharmo & Nalonso vs. the World, successfully bounced in 2 balls and that would be enough to win the round of shots! Way to go ladies!!!
For third place, two teams ended up with 58 points after the final round and they had to compete in a tie breaker question: "To the nearest minute, what is the official run time of the movie 'Boyhood'?" Our winners of the drinking round (Baharmo and Nalonso vs. the World), and team Oak Deck & the Patio Set... It Just Got Bigger, had very close guesses. B and N vs. the World guessed 147 minutes, and OD&the PS...IJGB guessed 140 minutes. The correct answer was 165 minutes. So Baharmo and Nalonso vs. the World not only won the drinking round, but got the third place prize as well! Amazing job! A successful double or nothing in round number 6 set them up for the tie! Nice try Oak Deck and The Patio Set! Hope to see your big group again next week!
Coming in second place was our regular juggernaut smarties the Mighty Mighty Puffins, who scored an impressive and awesome score of 69! You might not have won 1st place, but with that score, I count it as a win!
And finally in 1st place, another of our dominant regular teams, Alternative Facts, who successfully doubled down on rounds 3, 5, and 7, rocketed to 81 points and took home the 1st place gift certificate! Wowzers team! Way to go!

QUIZ RECAP
Another night of trivia has come and gone! Like always trivia players packed it in to Pickwick's Pub on Wednesday night for 7 Rounds of awesomeness!
For the drinking round, teams had to send one player each to play in a timed game, where that player would take a cup from the bottom of a stack of cups, and move it to the top. They would have to do this as quickly as possible until the original top cup was returned to the top of the stack. Whoever did it the fastest would win. With 27.59 seconds, The Mighty Mighty Puffins took the win!
Usually the Puffins are in the top three teams, but on Wednesday night other teams brought their A Game, and coming in third place was Cobalt Coyotes.com with 71 points!
In second place, with 73 points was Pogue Mahoney. Two succesful double downs on rounds 5 and 6 helped them out! Way to go guys!
In 1st place, establishing themselves with the lead from the very beginning was team Analbum Cover with 81 points! They never let go of the lead from Round 1 through the rest of the game! Amazing!

QUIZ RECAP
Holy Moly!!! It was standing room only on Wednesday night at Pickwick's Pub for King Trivia!! Both the front and the back rooms were packed with players eager to show off their knowledge and win prizes!!!
For the drinking round, each team had to send up their luckiest player. Each player from the different teams lined up while Quizmaster Danny rolled a 20-sided die. Once a number was rolled, each player had to guess whether the next number would be higher or lower. If they guessed correctly, they would stay in the game. Guess incorrectly, and they were out. It came down to the biggest team and the smallest team, and the smallest team, The Louisville Lip, won himself a shot!!!
Coming in third place were the Survivors who scored 66 points, just 5 more points than the 4th place team. A successful double or nothing in Round 5 did the trick!
In second place, scoring a whopping 74 points after a successful double or nothing on rounds 6 and 7 vaulted them from the middle of the pack to 2nd and won them a $20 gift certificate!
And last but not least, who else, but the Mighty Mighty Puffins who scored 78 points!! They also made it into the top 100 teams for the Tournament of Champions! Way to go team!
