QUIZ RECAP
What an amazing fun time again on Wednesday night at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills for King Trivia! Seriously, if you haven't been, you're truly missing out on a great time! Here's what happened this week....
For the Drinking Round teams had to send up one player to play in a game that originated on the game show Minute to Win It, but modified for the Drinking Round. Each player was given 30 seconds to try and blow playing cards off the top of a wine bottle. They could stop any time they wanted, and the objective was to blow off as many cards as possible without blowing all the cards off. Many teams tried, but only three were successful at leaving some playing cards on the top of the bottle. The first team to do it was the Mighty Mighty Puffins, who left 29 cards, then Naked Attraction did it and left 12 which many thought was going to be the winner. But finally, a team appropriately named for the round, Amy's Aces ended up leaving only an impressive 9 cards on the bottle to secure their Drinking Round win and a round of shots! Very skilled!
For third place, we had a tie breaker question between Johnny 5 is Alive and Alternative Facts. They had to guess closest to the correct number of how many stolen bases does the record holder of the most stolen bases have in his entire career. Both teams guessed a low number, but Alternative Facts was the closest and won the third place prize! Both teams scored 47 points.
In a rare second place, the Mighty Mighty Puffins took home the $20 gift certificate with their 54 points scored during the game.
Taking 1st thanks to a successful double or nothing in the final round, were the elated Xenolux, who always relishes a victory over their rivals the Puffins. They were able to guess 10 of the 14 current animals being produced in the boxes of Stauffer's Animal Crackers cookies and scored 62 points, which was good enough for them to take home the $30 gift certificate! Awesome job!

Thanks to the folks over at Pickwick's for giving me the opportunity to take over for your awesome regular QM, Daniel!
It was a close trivia quiz tonight with a narrow but solid victory for local incumbents Mighty Might Puffins.
Despite their waning confidence, Wikky Ticky Bobbin Wobbin had a couple successful doubles to take 2nd place.
The tiebreaker was a dousey with Mike Hawk (thanks), and Dino Divas trying to get some census figures from New York.
Things got heated over some geography, where F.U.T.S. beat out the competition by knowing the most European capital cities. Sticky Whickets did the legwork however, and knocked out 4 teams with 1 guess, but wasn't able to hang on.

QUIZ RECAP
It was another fun night of King Trivia at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills! There was a little bit of an eating competition that was pretty leisurely, and prizes given out! Here's the recap:
For the Drinking Round, teams had to send up a player for a little bit of an eating competition. The three players that came up to compete were given ten Ritz saltine crackers and had to eat them as quickly as possible, and be the first team to whistle the first part of Mary had a Little Lamb without any pieces of crackers coming out of their mouths. The Mighty Mighty Puffins just came up to eat the crackers, so they were just enjoying themselves, but Hanky Panky took it more seriously and won the Drinking Round and the round of shots for their team. Awesome!
Coming in Third Place for the night and winning themselves a $10 gift certificate! They scored 49 points!
In second, scoring 54 points, was Trebek's Worst Nightmare! Trebek isn't even afraid of cancer, but he's afraid of this team! They took home the $20 gift certificate! Way to go!
Finally, who do you think took 1st place? Did you have any doubt it would be the Mighty Mighty Puffins? They continued their dominance Wednesday scoring a whopping 73 points! The only team to make the Tournament of Champions from Pickwick's Pub, they again showed why they're a force to be reckoned with! Woot woot! Enjoy that $30 gift certificate!
