QUIZ RECAP
Another delightful Tuesday in NoHo. The air was on fire, sure, but that just meant the stage was heating up…for an epic trivia throwdown! That’s right, loyal readers, it was time for King Trivia at the one and only Idle Hour!
34 teams joined the fun for a sweaty, satisfying sleuthing adventure. With cold drinks and hot apps flying around the barrel-shaped bar, it was going to be one heck of a show.
Round One was a first for this QM and this venue as ZERO TEAMS had perfect scores! We did have a massive tie at the top with 5 points, but it was a shocker to say the least.
Round 2 saw a quick shift as teams decided to stream and chill with 8 images of famous streaming networks. With some momentum now, Hooligans jumped into first place, followed by Quizzy McGuire and Quiz Kid Donnie Smith.
Round Three took us to the land of Hyrule and 6th grade literature, looking at Zeldas of various notorieties. While Hooligans held their lead, Kill the Siren and Jimmy Timmy Power Hour knocked out the other top two!
Round Four saw Jimmy Timmy move from third to second, but the scores only grew closer. This was shaping up to be an incredibly tight game!
During our drinking round, we pad homage to the greatest of campfire treats: the marshmallow. With an outstanding guess regarding the invention of the Extruder (for shaping mallows), Hackmigos earned some free shots.
Round Five saw the points grow tighter but the leaders stay in roughly the same spot. This was all going to come down to bravery. Which team was willing to risk it to get the biscuit and go for that DOUBLE DOWN?
Round Six tasked our teams with combining Pixar Antagonists with their associated films. After a few grueling minutes, our leaders emerged ready for the final showdown. With no movement on the board yet again, it would all come down to these final ten questions.
As Round Seven came to a close (and Europe sang its fateful song), we crowned our champions: The Hooligans took first, Kill the Sirens had second, and Jimmy Timmy Power Hour earned third.

QUIZ RECAP
The sweet cool Fall air was…just a few months away, so we entered the barrel-shaped paradise of Idle Hour with a little heat already surrounding the building. It was a perfect night for a night cool drink, some relaxation, and the BEST TRIVIA SHOW IN TOWN! That’s right, it was time for more King Trivia!
27 teams from all around the country arrived in our terrific trivia testing arena, eager to bring home the bacon.
The first round lead to a three-way tie as veteran teams risked the double for an early position. Win or Booze, Snark Squad, and Sloppy Freakin’ Tots stepped out front, but that only put targets on their backs. Could they maintain the momentum as the show continued?
In Round Two, we challenged our gorgeous guessers to de-age photos of child celebrities. With a clutch play, Diana Spencer’s Gifts managed to snag more answers and take the first lead of the game! But with the rest of the board separated by only a few points, they might have only awakened a fiercer competition.
Round Three pushed our teams to the limit…in their knowledge of northern areas of the globe…and starch. It was an odd theme round to be sure, but nothing could put off our intrepid competitors. However, a risky double kept Diana Spencer from making waves, leading to Win or Booze and Sloppy Tots taking a small but important leap ahead.
The scores hardly moved through Round 4, keeping our leaders the same as we went into a Drinking Round.
Our drinking round was designed around the wonderful holiday: National Sponge Cake Day! We asked our teams to show off pictures from their phones of them enjoying some cake, and boy did we have incredible answers. After a wild tie-breaker, we awarded the free shots to Jar Jar Drinks!
Round Five was a real thinker, challenging the teams to go completely outside the box to find the connection for nine disparate answers. However, a few teams were able to pull together some impressive scores. Still, after Rounds Five and Six ended, Sloppy Tots still held their lead with DSG close behind. It was going to be a photo finish!
Round Seven was the true kingmaker, challenging our players like never before. This was a harrowing time, emotions were felt, and friendships were shattered forever. But, in the end, only one team could take the crown.
As the final scores were tallied, Sloppy Freakin’ Tots took the top spot, followed by Diana Spencer’s Gifts and Win or Booze!

QUIZ RECAP
Warm weather and cool drinks make a fine pair, just like Tuesday evening and INTENSE TRIVIA ACTION. That’s right, heroes. The crowds descended upon our barrel-shaped bastion of good times for another session of King Trivia!
23 teams cast their hats into the ring, ready to face off in quizzical combat for the coveted prizes of the leaderboard. With everything at stake and their beers getting warm, it was time to start the show.
Round 1 left us with the biggest tie we’ve ever had as more than ten teams doubled and won. With spirits high, we launched into Round 2…which was destined to humbled our champions.
With iconic images of feminist leaders flying, only two teams were able to scrape together the points to climb higher in the ranks: Algorithm and Blues and Stu and the Soups. Our top ten was mere points away from one another, so this was destined for a scrum.
Round 4 saw a major shakeup as InFactuated and Jack and the Offs leapt ahead with clutch guesses, securing the top two spots away from our former leaders. It was time to lower the temperature of the room with some cold drinks.
As it was National Airborne Day, we celebrated the founding of our fearless fliers from the 101st Airborne. With an absolutely spot on guess, Landback won free shots and the honor of all those heroes in AC-130s around the world.
Round 5 saw another scuffle for the top spots, with barely a point separating the future winners of the grand prize. Jack and the Offs unseated their rivals with a massive double, taking the lead with only a few rounds left to play.
Round 6 brought even more chaos as our cooks turned up the heat in the kitchen, mixing and matching dishes and ingredients. When the smoke cleared and the meals were served…every team had pretty much known the correct pairing! Which meant our scores weren’t so different heading in to the final round!
With everything on the line, the teams dug deep into their knowledge of the World Cup, but there could only be one to emerge triumphant in the end.
As we held our closing ceremonies, we crowned our new champions: Jack and the Offs, Leg Day (never forget), and Win or Booze!
