Dozens of ravished patrons journeyed all across Los Angeles to the barrel-shaped haven of NoHo—Idle Hour—for another fantastic journey into King Trivia! With the temperature dipping after a pre-summer heat wave, the air was ripe for a contest of champions (and the guests were primed for cool drinks and delicious treats).
Wildly, we had a leader right out the gate in Round One. Quiz Kid Donnie Smith was the only team brave enough to throw a double, giving hem a sizable advantage moving into the rest of the game.
Round after Round, Quiz Kid held their lead while other teams rose and fell. By the end of Round Four, Algorithm and Blues had jumped to second place, with Kill the Queen close behind. With only a few points separating all of our teams, we took a quick break to lubricate their minds with a little liquor.
On this day in history, the Wonderful Wizard of Oz was first published, so we asked our teams to search in their photos for something that was either from the book or film, or something evocative of the franchise. Our winner, R.E.N., had an old halloween photo with an entire family dolled up in outstanding costumes!
Back to the show with Round 5, and things were heating up. Finding this particular connection proved to be quite a challenge, but our teams weren’t about to go down without a fight. After a thorough thrashing, our leader board was shaken! Algorithm and Blues jumped to the top spot, Quiz Kid fell to second, and Diana Spencer’s Gifts took third! But would this new hierarchy last?
Another upset came after Round Six, with Quiz Kid regain and their lead and Algorithm dropping into third. Goat Rodeo climbed into striking distance in fourth place. We had a real ballgame on our hands, and it would all come down to the final round!
With everything on the line, Quiz Kid Donnie Smith took first place, Algorithm and Blues took second, and Diana Spencer’s Gifts took third.

After suffering through a few Gray May days, it was time to brighten everyone’s evening in the best way possible. That’s right, we gathered the greatest trivia champions of NoHo for an all new round of King Trivia!
We opened up to a MASSIVE tie after the first round, proving just how intense these knowledge nerds could be. With over ten teams holding first place, it was going to be quite the battle to find a winner.
After Round 2, we saw some separation with a three-way tie for first. Camp Mohawk, Pell Grant Recipients, and Hailey’s Vomit! But our top ten was spaced by mere points, so this lead couldn’t last forever.
Camp Mohawk managed to hold the lead following Round 4, with First Place in second (we know, confusing) and Kingbeez jumping up to third!
In our Drinking Round, we asked our teams how much shrimp was consumed in Las Vegas on the average day. F.R.O.G. leapt to the challenge, snatching free shots with their guess of 60,000 pounds.
Coming back from the break, Kingbeez and Downtown Sasquatch jumped into first and second with some amazing doubles, sending Camp Mohawk into the brink. But even from the QM booth the furry in their eyes was palpable.
In Round Six, Camp Mohawk regained their lead by the thinnest of margins, leading to an absolutely brutal showdown in our final round. Who would emerge victorious?
With an amazing turnaround, Kingbeez took the top spot, with Camp Mohawk and Downtown Sasquatch following close behind.

11 teams rallied together to fight the good fight, but also battle for some of the coolest prizes ever offered at a King Trivia show. With such a good cause to rally around, it was bound to be a crazy night.
Our first few rounds went to Thala-Siren Milkers as they dominated the early game, despite rarely throwing down a double. After Guess Who, however, they were set aside for the tied pairing of The Voice Boyz and Obiwannawin!
We took a break from the regularly scheduled trivia for a quick Drinking Round, asking how many Alderaanians survived the destruction of their planet. With a close win, Boba T. Fett took the free shots (and the jealous glares of the losing teams).
Thala’s lead could only hold so long, and after Round 5 we had a new leader in The Voice Boyz (our only non-Star Wars themed team). Sith Happens also shot up to third place, using the power of their hatred to fuel their knowledge!
Round 6 saw another shuffle as Thala took the lead and Phoenix Squadron jumped into third. It was going to be a Duel of Fates to see who took this one home.
Our final round was a Battle of Heroes, a saber-on-saber/Jedi.v.Sith event. After 10 minutes, only three could walk away with the incredible prizes, and they truly earned it. In first place were the Voice Boyz, followed by Thala-Siren Milkers and Sith Happens!
