QUIZ RECAP

Intensity mounted, ties came and went, and by the end we were all sweating. Thanks to the five thousand people that attended and the wonderful accommodations of Idle Hour! 

We enjoyed a robust drinking round with incredible artistic renderings of the number 21, and what it meant to the players. (Inspired by this Tweet https://twitter.com/dantep__/status/1440183960508637185 and musings on the number 21).

QUIZ RECAP

Oh, dear friends. Tuesday night was one for the record books. The stars aligned, the heavens merged, and we have a fully formed QUIZNADO at Idle Hour! As this QM entered the arena, I was greeted by the roar of the crowd. I'm not lapsing into hyperbole when I tell you that EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN IDLE HOUR CAME FOR TRIVIA!

30 teams gathered inside the big ol' barrel for what would become an epic throwdown. This was set to be the largest gathering of quiz-o-philes this side of a Jeapordy reunion tour. The energy was downright electric, and that's not just because the QM may or may not have touched a live wire when setting up for the show. 

With so many teams, things started off in a dead heat. A four-way tie of double-down-dominators, each ready to slug it out for the crown, lead things off in Round One. By the third round, we had three separate ties owning the leader board, with ten teams represented! CLOWNFISH TV had no fear throwing out wild guesses, yet they kept hitting big and keeping the lead!

General Washingtons, old vets of Idle Hours' trivia showcase, climbed up the leaderboard bit by bit, hoping to bring home a big win for friends that couldn't make it. Meanwhile, Come Pet Our Dogs and Two Crows cleared away from the pack and set their sights on the top spot. By the end of Round 4, it was anyone's game. 

For the Drinking Round, we had a Fast Finger Google Fest. The teams had to answer a question about the Los Angeles Zoo Commission (trust us, it was epic), and Pussy Galore took the free shots! However, it seems those drinks went right to their head and not to their scoreboard!

As we entered the final round, the top teams were only points apart. Anyone had a chance to win, and it was a fight for every single answer in the final round. 

Of course, a night like this can't end with an easy three. We had a THREE-WAY TIE for 2nd and 3rd. The three teams went into the tie-breaker with Price is Right rules...and we finally had our leaderboard!

Huge kudos to Hope This Email Finds You Well for taking the top spot, but an excellent job by CLOWNFISH and Two Crows for making the grade and winning an excellent pay day. 

EVERY team deserves a huge round of applause after that intense showdown. And YOU should join us next time. In fact, join us EVERY time; Every Tuesday at 8PM, only at Idle Hour!

QUIZ RECAP

What a great turnout at Idle Hour on Tuesday night.  A incredibly solid 18 teams came to game, showing off their brain prowess with 7 rounds of trivia.  Right from the get-go, it was HeiScoNat and General Washingtons neck and neck, round after round.  In the end, not only did HeiScoNat win the drinking round (TV themes, btw), but they also scored a PERFECT GAME.  Let me repeat that: THEY SCORED A PERFECT GAME.  In all my years of hosting trivia, I have never once seen a perfect game.  Every single round just happened to hit their wheelhouse, so real kudos to them!  It was a super fun night with super fun people, can't wait to sub there again soon!
