Another wild and mild May evening as 22 teams joined together in a battle of wits, an assault of knowledge, and a beatdown of the quizasterous variety. That’s right; Idle Hour had King Trivia for a big ol’ show! As we slid into a Star Wars themed week of shenanigans, this was the last chance for the average team to stand up with their average trivial knowledge. But who would emerge victorious? Only one way to find out.
Things started off slow and steady, with no teams willing to risk the double in Round 1. Clap If You Support Women’s Rights and Libra Moon took the early tie, but the rest of the crowd was quick to chase the lead.
By Round Three, The Bad News Care Bears stepped up to secure the lead, followed closely by Women’s Rights. With few doubles coming down the pipeline, it seemed like we were in for a ground and pound show. Then, in Round 4, Libra Moon and Women’s Rights stepped back into the top spot. It was a bloody war!
In our Drinking Round, as part of Teacher’s Appreciation Day, we asked our teams when the music video for Hot for Teacher first debuted. With an astoundingly close guess, Libra Moon took the free shots and hoped for a huge victory to follow.
Returning to the game, Round 5 saw Women’s Rights leap to the top of the pile, with Libra Moon and Bad News following right behind. It was bound to be another close call, but Round 6 shook things up once again!
While Women’s Rights held the top spot, the following ten teams were within spitting distance, only points away from stealing first place. It was going to come down to the final sprint to the finish!
After a nail-biting tie break, we saw our champions emerge. Clap If You Support Women’s Rights took first, Bad News Care Bears took second, and Quizly Bears knocked out third. Quizteama Aguilera, also winner of best name of the night, took our special 4th place mug.

With Easter in our rearview and Passover eating up our present, there was only one safe and responsible recourse: Seven rounds of KING TRIVIA. That’s right. Idle Hour isn’t taking the holidays off, not when it’s time to get down to quizness! 22 teams arrived in our barrel of fun, and we weren’t aiming to disappoint.
After a fierce tie for two rounds, Kingbeez took a powerful lead in Round 3 and seemed poised to sweep. However Run DMT wasn’t about to them run away, so they clawed their way to within spitting distance. It was bound to be a fight, with nearly ten teams only points away.
For our Drinking Round, we asked our teams how much they knew about garlic. As it turns out…quite a lot! We needed a tie-breaker to get past the first round, but using Price is Right rules always brings out the best kind of competitors. Quiz Kid Donnie Smith took the free shots and started plotting their comeback for the back half of the show.
After Round 5, Kingbeez managed to hold onto their lead, but many teams were coming up fast. It looked like we would once again come down to the wire for our winner.
Round 6 didn’t change the score much, though Camp Mohawk and Downtown Sasquatch continued a masterful rise through the ranks. It would come down to our final few points to decide a champion.
As the grains in the hourglass ran out, three teams stood above the others (four if you count our secret 4th place prize): Kingbeez in first, Run DMT in second, and Downtown Sasquatch in third. Honorable mention to Camp Mohawk for continue their collection of our secret 4th prize!
