The only thing better than King Trivia with a board certified Quizmaster? TWO QUIZMASTERS! QM Trainee Daisy was in the house at Idle Hour to show off her skills and deliver the thrills.
31 teams join us in quiztastic combat for a chance to win big…or live in the deepest shame any human can feel: losing at pub trivia.
Round One warmed up the teams with a few easy lobs, leading to a massive twelve-way tie for the top spot. Like most nights. But that’s where the realm of the normal ended.
See this was no usual evening at Idle Hour. Normally, teams double with regularity, risking it all for a big jump that keeps the scores high and the morale higher. But tonight, our devious designers at King Trivia HQ crafted a tricksy trap of trivia teasers. Doubles flew for sure…but most crashed and burned.
In Round Two, not a single double landed and only Three Cool Boys emerged with a single point lead. In Round Three, Kingbeez and Quiz Kid Donnie Smith inched closer to the top with just a few points on the board. In Round Four, most teams could hardly add six to their ledgers!
Our Drinking Round took a break from the regular and dove into the spectacular as we honored Quiz Master Adam’s upcoming birth-a-versary. While many teams performed well at “Do You Know Your QM,” it was MotherQuake with a Mr. Clean-themed musical that took the free shots.
Round Five was another stumper, and it looked like Three Cool Boys might take it all home…until…
Round Six was a sports round, which always throws our teams for loops. This night, however, we had some college sports fans in the house…and their successful doubles changed the game.
We ended the night with some surprise victories. Montana, jackyboys (and girls), and Three Cool Boys!
