QUIZ RECAP

A scorcher of a Tuesday brought out the best teams in NoHo to our barrel-shaped paradise for an incredible night of Trivia and refreshing beverages. That’s right, it’s KING TRIVIA time! 26 teams arrived in the gridiron for a truly monumental event. But only three could take home the prize, so it was time to get down to quizness. 

Round One saw a massive tie of nearly ten teams, and many more that simply failed to capitalize on perfect scores. Round Two, however, saw an immediate shift in the leaderboard. Quiz in Your Face took the top spot, followed by Renegades of the Zeitgeist and Snark Squad. 

Round Three took our guests by surprise, as no one expects either the Spanish Inquisition or a Math Quiz! While scores did suffer, the leaderboard didn’t change much for our intrepid test takers. 

Our Drinking Round challenged the teams to determine information about National Bagel Day. With the closest guess by a county mile, Gonk Chomp won the free shots. With our teams feeling properly lubricated, it was time to separate winners from losers in the final half of the show. 

With the teams tightly locked, we ran through our final rounds in a fury. Round Five saw Baby Geniuses 3 advancing up to 4th place, only a point away from stealing the spot. Round Six saw the teams grow ever closer. Nearly every team had a chance to reach the leaderboard!

As the smoke cleared, a new champion emerged from the rubble. Algorithm and Blues took the top spot, Quiz on Your Face took second, and Renegades of the Zeitgeist had third.

QUIZ RECAP

Tuesday was a scorcher, with temperatures holding at 90 even as guests poured into our barrel-shaped haven of Idle Hour. What could possibly inspire these leagues of travelers to brave the fiery eve? That’s right, only the best quiz show in NoHo: King Trivia! 35 teams joined the fray for our biggest night yet. 

After one round, we had a three-way tie for the top spot: Tequila Mockingbird, Algorithm and Blues, and Agents of the Zeitgeist. 

Their lead didn’t last long, as a clutch double put Quiz in Your Face ahead in round two! Zeitgeist and My Momma (not actually the QMs mother) took the second and third spots, much to the chagrin of our overheated troops. 

Rounds three and four saw little Zeitgeist fully take second, with Tequila Mockingbird flying back to third. With so much heat on this game, players were desperate for a drinking round. 

As it was National Daiquiri Day, we asked our quizzers quoins about the world famous rum drink. After three separate runoffs, we finally awarded the free shots to Crucial Taunt!

Round 5 was a real challenge, with tricky wording and a money-maker of a connection. Fortune smiled on a few teams with choice doubles. Agents of the Zeitgeist and Tequila Tots jumped into a tie for first with 50 points!

With the scores remaining roughly the same after the sixth round, it was all coming down to our final question to settle who would be the winner…although, if pressed, this QM smelled a tie on the horizon. 

After a quick tie-break, we had our three winners to crown: Agents of the Zeitgeist, Tequila Mockingbird, and Quiz in Your Face!

QUIZ RECAP

Twas a nice, cool summer evening as teams gathered in the barrel-shaped bastion of NoHo with one thing in mind: ultimate trivia domination. That’s right, it’s time for more King Trivia!

Nineteen teams joined the fray to test out their trivial knowledge against the best of the best. With the apps served and entrees on the way, it was time to dive into the real show. 

Round One left a monster tie in first and second. Kingbeez, Bad News Care Bears, and Here for the Host took the top spot, with Quiz Kid Donnie Smith, Quiztina Aguilera, and Forrest Gump’s 21st Century Adventure tied below. 

But it only took one more round to set us up for a real contest, as Bad News took first place in Round Two with a clutch double, with Quiztina Aguilera securing the second seat. 

Bad News managed to hold onto their lead throughout Round 4, with Here for the Host sneaking up to second place before the break. Then it was time to celebrate National Cow Appreciation Day! We asked our teams to share photos of them appreciating cows, and Tequila Tots had the best shot of the bunch…so they won free shots!

Round 5 saw Quiztina Aguilera and All Hail the Magic Conch Alooloolooloo rise in the ranks. Bad News still held the high ground, but scores were tightening up in the latter half of the game!

As Round 6 came to a close, it was as tight a game as we’d seen, with Kingbeez and Here for the Host fighting it out for that third place spot. It would all come down to our final cheesy round. 

In a surprise twist, Kingbeez jumped into second, with Quiztina Aguilera locking up third. Bad News Care Bears secured their sweep of the game for a first place finish, and that as all she wrote!
