Great night at Idle Hour!! We had 14 teams battling it out tonight! There were a lot of regulars so the competition was FIERCE!
The Unibros and Impetuous Vibrators were rivals all night as they continued to stay tied after after round!
Free Smoke came to dominate and they did a great job finishing in 3rd place. A team of some Texans, love to see it!
THE MAFIAAA was out for blood and also took home the championship for the Drinking Round!
But Tiny Hands was ready for some trivia that's for sure and they love to do some Double or Nothing! Gold Medal for them tonight!
Bonus points to Team Texas because....that was my mom's team! She's visiting me from Texas and that was her first time seeing my in trivia action! Such a blast and she learned a lot!
Huge shout out to Sarah, our waitress who was serving ALL 14 teams!! She's AMAZING!!
Congrats to all the teams tonight and amazing job! Thank you for a fabulous night! 🙂

It's that magical time of year between Christmas and New Years, and that can only mean one thing: It's time for THE BEST TRIVIA IN TOWN. That's right, it's Tuesday at Idle Hour and we've got trivia to go around!
14 teams braved the brisk weather to grab some delightful donuts, some tasty tostadas, and big ol' burgers...as well as they're favorite brand of pub-style quizzing...King Trivia. QM Adam was in the house with his usual musical accompainment, DJ Pandora. The stage was set for an epic showdown, and boy did we get one.
While a few teams arrived late, and a few had to leave early, we still had veteran and newbie teams battling to the death for a share of that coveted leaderboard. Quizness Time and Agents of the Zeitgeist set up in their usual spots, quiz apps at the ready, with their eyes on the prize. Meanwhile, Winnaz and Shades of Green joined on a whim and quickly found themselves battling for supremacy.
In our Drinking Round, we asked how many triangles made up the famous ball of lights for Time Square's NYE celebration. Shades of Green took their drinks by a mile, and that influx of carbs and sugar was just what they needed.
As we rounded in the final few...er, rounds, Aleing Failures hit a spot of luck. World-wise travelers, they knew all the monetary denominations and doubled for a sudden rise into 4th place. Meanwhile, Shades of Green climbed within striking distance of the top spot. It was all down to the final question!
As it turned out, not many knew the full list of soap operas for the final round, but enough were guessed to shift our teams into their final spots. Zeitgeist took the crown, with Shades of Green and Aleing Failures below. What a way to end the year.
2021 has been full of ups, downs, and new challenges. We hope that these excursions into a world of questions and answers has provided some salve and enjoyment, and we can't wait to do it all over again in 2022.
Stay safe, stay strong, and we'll see you next year!
Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings. It's the time of sharing joy and wonder with the world...and a time for EPIC TRIVIA! That's right, Idle Hour still has the best quiz show in town running Tuesday nights, and this was no exception. Ten teams arrived for a throwdown and were not dissapointed.
While the temperatures have been fluxuating, our scores were rock solid...until the final round. The Studio City Players certainly...came to play. They held a commanding lead from Round One all the way through Round Six, knocking aside the competition without effort. It seemed like they might just sweep the whole show. But oh, that final round.
We should probably back up a bit. You see, scores were fairly competitive the entire game, with only a few points separating each team all throghout the lineup (with the exception of a few early birds that ducked out before the drinks were served). It was truly anyone's show until the very end.
But during the Drinking Round, one plucky group of trivial terrors scored big with a guess that earned them a free round of shots. They must have been served something spicy, because all of the sudden they were wide awake and playing hard.
Tiny Hands lingered behind, third place or lower, for the entire game. But in the final hour, they found their spirit and doubled down like they'd never doubled before. In Round Seven, they slipped ahead of the competition and took the top spot away.
It was an incredible night for all the players, and it could have been for you too! Don't miss another chance to win. Idle Hour runs this town every Tuesday at 8pm.
