One fateful day three decades ago, five boys picked up a game of handball during school recess on a Fountain Valley playground. They grew up together, became life-long friends and pursued their own ambitions. But they shared a deep love for their hometown and dreamed of one day opening a restaurant together where they could share good food, good drinks and reminisce about good times. The Recess Room is their childhood dream come to life.

Happy Lunar 🌕New Year's Day and the Year Of The Tiger 🐯. We had 7 rounds of trivia fun. Congratulations to the couple on their blind date! 😍 Congratulations to Recess Room's Waitress Kendall for getting accepted to Cal State Fullerton for her teacher degree.

Towards the end of the game, I asked Pam's brother Stephen when is his sister's bday and ironically it was just a few days ago so we surprised her with a dessert, candle and singing to totally surprise her. Matt shared extra incredible details about her local arrival. Thirsty Pretezels are a very interesting team that always surprises me. Highway Star won tonight for his first new win of the new league year with King Trivia. The restaurant lobby had great decor for the Lunar New Year.

My clown pic is from my new bucket list adventure by running away with the circus via clown college for 6 Tuesday with 10 other ageless kids in Shanghai La. This is one of the alumni who will be in a Super Bowl commercial soon. Speaking of football, wear your favourite team jersey next week and let's do a football 🏈 pool to see who will win and the point advantage!!! See you all next Wednesday. This is usually my NAMM time of the year when I am in the realm of 4 days of the music world in Anaheim yet I digress as it was postponed till June. Instead I am the Queen Beekeeper of this buzzing group of fact finders. Thank you to the returning groups as you are our lifeline. We did a sober handout of the recent passed away celebrities. What a month it has been. The 7 rounds involved an assortment of questions but like a box of chocolates eaten, I am drawing a blank today. I do recall the find the connection round was a bar above none. The final round was 7 novels by Jan Austen who had such an intriguing life and past history. Congratulations to the top 3 teams and the honorable mention. 

Next Wednesday we will celebrate the Lunar New Year by wearing red as well as celebrating the year of the Tiger!
