Speaking of celebrations- it is our Highway Star's bday this Saturday May 15th. Keit is the eternal 24 years!! We gave him a round of applause plus a sweet creme brulee lit with a candle.
Welcome to new team Boardwalk 11 with Matt with couple Sophia and Justin. This Friday our Ms. Sophia will be going all disco with 9 gfs at the Paesa Hotel HB for the sunset outdoor roller rink on PCH. Lets all boogie on over there to cheer the girls on!
We were so glad for the return of Ava's Minions with Brian and Yvonne plus his daughter. She is their ringer for trivia. They came in 2nd place.

Family night with all 5 teams having family teammates.
Round 1 was General Knowledge six questions which included the Battle of Puebla.
Round 2 featured a friend of mine since 1984. No one guessed Lita correctly! She is not Blondie or Bonnie Tyler! It was great to see her posted with 7 other legendary rockers which proves her rock I ng legacy.
Round 3 made me hungry with fast food references.
Round 4 was a great round for futbol fans of CR.
Round 5 was 10 questions worth 20 points. A test of Find The Connection.
Round 6 handout was baseball nicknames.
Round 7 was a 3 part combo involving 4 comics, 3 astronauts and a tragic beautiful star gone too soon but never forgotten.
Great to be in a cool room with the AC on this warm spring night. Four veteran trivia teams battling it out for the 3 prizes of gift certificates for $40, $20 & $10. Church of Quizentology is a family team. Implication is a mix of friends, siblings and couples. Thirsty Pretzels is a fun mystery to me. Highway Star is a rogue wild card of trivia award winning games either solo or with a team. Great atmosphere with oyr weekly Wednesday trivia family.
Next week is Cinco De Mayo so lets make it a festive fiesta of colorful tops or outfits.
General Knowledge in Round 1 covered hydrogen, walrus, Fleetwood Mac, 999 usage and a secret plumber with an alter ego.
Round 2 was a picture round of Year of the Dragons with one challenged pic with 2 correct answers. Definitely a photo finish on Drogon/Rhaegal.
Round 3 was Easy as 1,2,3 with all answers including the letters A, B, C. Church of Quizentology was so silly in this round. Fun answers. You had to be here!
Round 4 Guess Who was an easy pic with many 8 points winners as the Forever Your Girl is still alive and well in her fans' memories.
Round 5 was an intriquing Find The Connection 10 questions involving Sarah Palin, The Pointers Sisters and more.
Round 6 handout of In Beer We Trust tested both beer lovers and their beer history facts of the naming the states for each brewery.
Round 7 "I Feel" statements was 4 types of sentences and naming the 6 basic emotions. Another fun night. Glad to see Roy back with the great Recess Room staff!
