Half way to Christmas....Santa was a no show due to shaving his beard for his summer break. We still had an aloha night with lei and cand cane treats in table goodie bags. We will try again next month as Christmas in July is a deginite tradition worth celebrating.
Solo Highway Star shone extra bright with 3 rounds of successful double or nothing.
Thirsty Pretzels is celebrating the arrival of Baby Oliver by their brother and sister in law.
Dynamite duo congregration of Church of Quizentolgy were honourable mention. No degree in rhectoric but strong King Trivia loyalty.
So we hope to see more regulars and new folks next week. Mark your calendar.
It was such a pleasure to get to know The Recess Room and its delightful regulars of the lovely Fountain Valley community. Extra special for me being my first time back at work after 15 months not hosting a game, I was blessed with a warm welcome from their staff. (Thank you Kiet for all your help!)
I was warned about the competitiveness amognst the teams at The Recess Room, and no joke, a very friendly competition, but relentless nonetheless. With a smoking total score of 71, Highway Stars finished in first place, doubling down on rounds 1, 3 and 6! Being part of the staff for The RR, they payed forward their prize to first runners up, the Thirsty Pretzels; which played a very good game indeed. They finished with 48 points, and received the winning prize, a gift card of $40 for The Recess Room! With 38 points, Eva's Renewed Minions were awarded with the second place award, and The Implication with third place. A special shout out to Double Trouble, and big welcome as well, it was their first time joining us for some King Trivia. They hung in there, and finished strong in the last rounds. Congratulations to all players from me always, as I admire the amount of knowledge all of you have. It never seizes to amaze me!
I was rewarded too! That gorgeous cheeseburger was awarded to me at the end of the night, thank you Jorge! I absolutely recommend it!! If you remember the cheesburgers from Big Boy, imagine it BETTER?! Respectfully, of course, I am not mad at Big Boy. Drool bucket not included.
Thank you The Recess Room for having us for a healthy and fun Wednesday night! Thank you players for joining us, and congratulations to you all!

Round 5 for Find The Connection is 9 questions leading to question 10. This round involved a Greek epic poem, Socrates, Stephen Schwartz, a British car maker, Tibet, Genesis, Titan, Dione, Hyperion and Trinity's crew in The Matrix.
Round 6 handout of 'Muahahahaha! was a match the video game villian to the franchise which caused a hilarious reaction in support of more geography rounds. The two teams who aced this round did not protest. Trivia drama is why we are family on Wednesday night.
Round 7 was the icing on the trivia cake of intrique where "Everybody Must Get Stones' involving current members of R.S. and naming the 6 inifinity stones from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
