QUIZ RECAP

It was a quiet, intimate evening with the usual good company. We had a tiny, fuzzy, duck-billed visitor all the way from Australia that partnered up with the Home Team (picture included!). He kinda rode on the Home Team's coattails, so I hope he splits the third place prize fairly.

Knock on Wood did great on some questions that were kinda tough, and they took home $20 in Recess Room currency for their efforts. Bilingual smarty-pantses Thirsty Pretzels reigned supreme once more, having a great advantage on Round 6. They also got a free appetizer for knowing their Ford tidbits of knowledge.

After a long weekend, it was great to see everyone pumped, refreshed, and ready to duke it out for sweet, sweet Recess Room goodies.

Despite not doubling down on anything, Thirsty Pretzels took home the gold (and a free appetizer thanks to their Cate Blanchett knowledge) -- although they has to work for it. Area 51 was not too far behind, though things might've played out differently had they not changed ONE answer early on. We hope your $20 Recess Room gift card makes up for it. Home Team took home the bronze, but generously donated his $10 gift card to new players T2 + D, who still did phenomenally on their first go. Win or Lose, We Still Booze picked up the rear with a couple unsuccessful double-down hail marys. True to their namesake, booze they still did, but they'll get their revenge in due time!

Special shout out to everyone who did not make fun of me [to my face] for mispronouncing Tanzania -- one thousand points to you all!

QUIZ RECAP

League of Champions winners from Season 5 were our celebrity team tonight! Their team name was repeated over and over, and no one went to go play on their team like they suggested, but OF COURSE they went home our big winners tonight, doubling down correctly in half of tonight's rounds.

It was a close call between Thirsty Pretzels and the Home Team for the second place prize, but Thirsty Pretzels knew their hockey stuff just a smidge better. They also got a free appetizer for (barely) being the first to figure out Neve Campbell was in Lion King 2.

Knock on Wood pulled in fourth, but still gave it a valiant effort. And kudos to new team The Worst (though they were the best in my heart!), who stuck it out in the face of a 60-point lead, saw the game through to the end, and still had a blast! They'll come back and take everyone by storm next time, I'm sure!
