They grew up together, became life-long friends and pursued their own ambitions. But they shared a deep love for their hometown and dreamed of one day opening a restaurant together where they could share good food, good drinks and reminisce about good times. The Recess Room is their childhood dream come to life.

Your Quizmaster got a little sweaty with how intense this game was tonight!

Knock on Wood and Pinky and the Brain were tied up four rounds tonight, including 44 points each at Round 7! It was Coffee Masters Pinky and the Brain who wound up with the 3rd place gift card, coming closest to guessing the tons of coffee the US consumed in 2016 without going over the correct number. Thirsty Pretzels got the 2nd place gift card with 45 points. Area 51, who were struggling in last place halfway through, hit the grand slam with 46 points! They knew their MLB tweets and doubled down correctly, knocking themselves out of the park and into 1st place.

John Leguizamo and Jim Carrey might as well be twins, we all decided.

Knock on Wood was NOT messing around tonight! They doubled down correctly on the first two rounds, giving them a huge lead against everyone else. Don't use that $40 gift card all in one place, my friends!

The real excitement was between Thirsty Pretzels and Only Here to Establish an Alibi, who were neck-in-neck until the Alibis doubled down on the duck-billed platypus being Washington College's mascot (which would be WAY cooler than a goose, to be fair). Thirsty Pretzels walked away with a $20 gift card, and a free appetizer for being the first team to correctly guess "Adele" in Round 4.

Everything evened out for Only Here to Establish an Alibi though -- not only did they get a $10 gift card, but Alex got a free dessert and loud, obnoxious singing to celebrate her birthday! Hooray! And what? It was The Home Team's birthday too? Holy smokes! And the gentleman one table over also got dessert for his birthday? NICE! Um, it's my un-birthday; does that count for anything?

Had a couple large teams ready to dominate tonight!

Knock on Wood just barely kept their lead the majority of the night, with the dynamic duo from Highway Stars keeping them on their toes. Both teams had four-point lead or less between them the entire game!

Velasqueeze! wanted in on the fun and decided to join in halfway through; hope to see them again for a full game soon!

And a big happy birthday to the beautiful Megan from Besa Me-Gan! (I hope she continues to come back even after we embarrassed her with a couple "Happy Birthday" songs.)
