Quizmaster Charlotte promised fun rounds, and all were pleased to see she delivered! Screwing up on one round didn't spell doom for the rest of the game, so it made for some fun, friendly competition.
Beach Bums were bummed out by top NBA scorers and extra chance themes, but still walked away with a free Recess Room appetizer for being the first team to correctly suspect the Great Barrier Reef was our Guess Where? of the week. Good onya, mates!
Knock On Wood missed out on a double down for orange connections, and Knights of the Square Table miscommunicated on western borders, so they also didn't double down when they should have. Boo for second guesses!
Baby Cheeses were duped by the Amazon in the Guess Where? round, but still came back with a successful western border double-down, taking third place. Ava's Minions excelled on extra chance answers, and even though they were unsure on, like, THREE western borders that prevented them from doubling down, they still took home second. And Thirsty Pretzels SLAYED on general knowledge, meals in movies, geography (as per the usual) and top NBA scorers. They took home first place, and all the pretzel-y glory!

New faces Witch, Please came to the Recess Room for their second night of King Trivia. And although they were the only team stumped by Evita as this week's Guess Who? and couldn't wrangle enough points for a double down, they still had loads of fun (and 33 points isn't anything to be ashamed of!). Home Team wasn't too far in front of them -- probably still recharging his brain power after obliterating a zillion teams at another venue for video game-themed trivia last week.
Knock On Wood and The Implication were cutting it real close, but The Implication's knowledge in periodic element names and revolution themes was a smidge better, leaving Knock On Wood with the bronze.
One successful general knowledge double down was all Thirsty Pretzels needed to take home the gold by a landslide, even though they could've doubled down on sports position connections and periodic table elements as well. And although they figured out this week's Guess Who? later in the round than usual, they still scored a free appetizer for being the first team to get that name written down and turned in. Great job, Pretzels!
