The only thing more delicious than the food at Recess Room was the delightful showdown between Thirsty Pretzels and the Implication!
The fight for seconds place went back and forth - but in the end the pretzels were victorious!
Shout out to our writers for the dope second round on female athletes - yeaaah!!!!
We almost had a full house tonight -- several teams brought backup to help their chances of going home with something!
Otrivia Newton John didn't sing for us, but we got to sing "Happy Birthday" to Eric as loud as we could. Old age will eventually blow out his hearing, but not if we got to him first!
Knock on Wood and Area 51 did exceptionally well, as always, but tonight's top dogs all needed to double down at least once (and not incorrectly, Thirsty Pretzels!).
Daddy Down didn't take the +1 bonus point for safe return of the pen very seriously, and had to fight The Implication to the death (not really) for the second place prize. Much to The Implication's delight, Daddy Down had to settle for third place after way overcompensating Pluto's circumference -- but I'm sure Pluto appreciates it. To the surprise of almost no one, Highway Stars left everyone in the dust with their unmatched Barry Allen and newscaster smarts.

-10 points to the Recess Room for having holiday decorations up before Thanksgiving. But then, I guess that means -100 points to me for being such a Scrooge. The place really does look great!
Pineapple Express and Dragon with the Girl Tattoo were the new kids joining us, bringing in at least one bar trivia virgin, who will probably become a King Trivia addict, just like the rest of us (seriously, girl, it's worse than crack). They all did incredibly well, even giving our more experienced players a run for their money.
Area 51 threw a Hail Mary by doubling down on their Oscar-winning Pixar movies, but to no avail. Thirsty Pretzels had one of those dreaded evenings where you should've doubled down but didn't, then doubled down when you shouldn't. But isn't the real reward the honor of being in my company, guys? No? Shut up, Charlotte? Aww, okay.
The Implication was able to double down on their novel villains, pulling them from last place into third place -- glory to you guys! They just barely missed out on second place, which Knock on Wood earned for their Thanksgiving TV specials and '70s smarts. Highway Stars reigned supreme with their worst round earning 6 out of 9, as well as a free appetizer for not guessing Christian Bale in our Guess Who? round.
Have a great Thanksgiving, friends!
