QUIZ RECAP

It was a cold wet damp night but we were warm and on fire with quiz mastery. Four returning teams and one funny trio titled Bingo Bango with two out of state teammates. Though their score was not as high as the rest of the group and they had to leave early for another event, their incorrect answers kept us laughing. Double or nothing helped escalate the scores for two teams. 

Ava's Minions were bound and determined to win and they did. 1st place gets a $40 gift certificate. The 2nd place winners Highway Star received a $20 gift certificate. The returning team The Implications received a $10 gift certificate with 5 of their 6 teammates. 

Round 1 with six questions tested our Shakespeare,  Reading Rainbow and Dr. Pepper knowledge. Round 2 with the picture round was funny with the 8 combo pictures. Round 3 with Sundae School was all about the cherries with Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Super Mario Bros. and the Child Safety Act of 1966. The Round 4 Guess Who stumped half the room. Round 5 with Find The Connection was a monster of a round. Round 6 Handout of the State the Movie displayed the excellent geography knowledge of the room. Round 7 with the Return of The Return of the King was a royal challenge to score 4 teams with 10 answers but the group participation and honor system of self scoring was shades of grade school scoring. 

Next week our King Trivia nights goes green for our St. Patrick's night of trivia fun. Wear green, bring friends and lets have Guinness with the bone marrow burger with tater tots!!!

QUIZ RECAP

Three months pandemic hiatus is over!! We are back at the Recess Room!! We were just about to have our Holiday Ugly Sweater night when boom! No trivia for a quarter of a year. We were all glad to be inside out of the rain with safe social distancing protocols and masks. We got this. Keit was on Fire with several successful rounds of Double or Norhing. The six members of the Implications are too funny with how they are all connected as family, friends and couples. Some teams were seriously winging it with hilarious answers in lieu of the correct one which gives me great material to share with the group for laughs. The Mystery Team trio had Judy's bday which I crowned her with a royal tiara

We were all glad to be with the awesome staff at the Recess Room. Thanks Roy, Kendall, Thomas, Jorge, Joe and the great kitchen staff.

Hello December! Countdown to Christmas! Next week's King Trivia night is the first of two of our Ugly Holiday sweater nights with prizes - on Dec. 9th and 23rd.

We had two returning teams and two newbies who happened to be two birthday parties for two lovely young ladies turning 23! Oh to be that age again! Thank you to Recess Room for the personalized menu saying 'Happy Birthday'. I carry extra bday crowns so the girls proudly wore their special tiaras plus Recess Room brought out their signature creme bruelee treat with candles as we sang the birthday song! The seven rounds were a test of Steven Speilberg knowledge, knowing the missing part of a famous duo on the Picture Round, General knowledge, Find The Connection historical person challenge with two teams winning on that round, plus the night favorite of the Kiss The Ring football team handout. We concluded the merriment with the United Nations knowledge list.
