QUIZ RECAP

It's official -- if you don't really care about baseball, you came to the Recess Room for some King Trivia! Everyone took their trivia seriously tonight, bringing in the friends, brothers, mothers, lovers to help compete for the top three prizes.

The Gaggle correctly doubled down on their board games and state capitals, but it was their Arnold Schwarzenegger answer for the Guess Who? round that knocked them down a peg. They still got to take home the $10 prize, but I'm sure *thick accent* "they'll be back."

After not listening to their gut about doubling down on their board game knowledge, Biscuits and Gravy took a chance at doubling down on their TV parents, which turned out to be a huge success. But Thirsty Pretzels wasn't going to let them get away with it -- they stole the lead with one correct double-down in the last round, and took home $40 in Recess Room money, leaving Biscuits and Gravy with still-very-impressive $20 winnings.

Special shout outs to Already in the Hole for hooking himself up with a free appetizer for being the first to correctly guess Wolfgang Puck in our Guess Who? round; Dads and Lads for figuring out Jefferson CITY existed at the very last minute; and Knock on Wood! for giving it their all even when things seemed hopeless (you'll kick ass next week FOR SURE).

Much love to all the Dodger fans that let me heckle them all in good fun tonight. I honestly did feel a little guilty for all the teasing after watching the Sox ruthlessly, mercilessly, SLAUGHTER your boys in blue. 🙂

QUIZ RECAP

My first time hosting at the Recess Room was full of Halloween Decor and equally difficult questions. Though the race was tight, Thirsty pretzels managed to pull ahead with a double or nothing in round 7! We ended up with a tie breaker between the home team and knock on wood! Alas the distance from NYC to LA was the deciding factor and with Knock On wood being within 20 miles the other team didn't stand a chance!

Despite having a bigger crowd than usual, there wasn't too much bloodshed tonight (though it would have gone great with the Halloween decorations set up over the weekend). Instead, there was good sportsmanship and loads of fun all around!

Some of these rounds were tough, but there were a ton of surprises. Dads and Lads held last place up until the last round, in which they did the best on their Route 60 states, barely beating out Thirsty Pretzels for the third place title. As Home Team came in second, Dads and Lads went home with a nice $20 surprise, and Thirsty Pretzels still got to go home with $10 in Recess Room money.

Highway Stars doubled down correctly on all their Toms, which helped them maintain a strong lead for the rest of the game. $40 much deserved, my friends!

Special shout out to Crazy Broke Asians who walked home even broker, but still had loads of fun.
